Covered Bridge Creamery in Illinois

"This past November marked the very 1st time trying this landmark ice cream parlor for dessert after trying a famed pizzeria nearby in town for the 1st time as well. Covered Bridge Creamery is a real treat for Long Grove and the residents are lucky to have this gem. I was told by one of the owners that they get jam-packed in the summer as does the rest of the downtown with all the festivities. The Latina lady working that evening was very kind and it's that type of warm & inviting customer service that keeps you coming back and not to mention it is Chocolate Shoppe which is some of the finest ice cream you'll ever have. Not sure when they'll reopen, guessing in the spring when the outside slowly starts turning green again and the weather starts warming up again as well. Excellent ice cream at still reasonable prices in a cozy rustic setting with outdoor seating as well. I try my best to support local and I wish the owner(s) continued success & prosperity."

"Small cute local place. Good place to stop if you are walking the historic area of Long Grove. Covered Bridge around the corner. Ice cream was tasty and good portions. Prices couldn’t be beat, way cheaper than Chicago. They do serve Metric and Dark Matter coffee so thumbs up for that. Friendly staff. A few tables inside, a ton outside. Still bee season so plan for that if outside. Standard flavors, nothing too crazy, aside from their sorbet flavor…mango-carrot…an absolute must. I question if there was any carrot in it, it was so good!"

"This is my second time visiting here. There's plenty of parking space right behind the place, and the ice cream is absolutely delicious. There are tables both inside and outside, so you can choose where you want to sit and eat. The atmosphere, both indoors and outdoors, is really nice, and my friends and I were very satisfied."

"Quaint little place with great shaded seating all around…we’ve come here quite a few times and’ve never been disappointed..tried the black berry lemon bar combo, simply delicious! And my 10 year old loves the mint flavor, especially at this place! And it doesn’t matter what your favorite is, you’ll find one you like!"

"Went here for ice cream but have also been for coffee and tea. They have about 12 different flavors of ice cream and we got strawberry, blue moon and lemon raspberry sorbet and all were delicious. Their tea is freshly made when you order it and they have a small case of goodies from Morkes. Can't wait to go back again. Beautiful outdoor gazebo and patio area also."
